I have been personally using POSER since version 6 and it is a truly unique
3D application that opens new doors for many digital artists.

If you don't know much about POSER, it is a user-friendly 3D software with many
prepared human and animal figures, clothes, hair, props and scenes that you
can pose, animate and incorporate into your very own 3D artwork.

is in its intuitive interface and accessibility to wide audiences, from kids to adults and from

my opinion, the
vast amount of supplied free 3D content with the
package (over 5GB) is worth its price many times over.
You will find human figures, cartoon characters, animals, robots, scenes,
vehicles, cloth items, props, furniture and more. |

Poser 11 offers the SuperFly physically based rendering engine, with realistic
skin, natural lighting, shadows, volumetrics effects with photorealistic,
cartoon or sketch settings.
For more advanced users there is animation, dynamic props and bullet
physics, cloth simulation, face creation or lipsyncing.

I
had been recently experimenting with creating 3D scenes and then processing
them in Dynamic Auto Painter with rather interesting results.
POSER with its large library of content is definitely the easiest way to
create such 3D scenes.
I will be looking into this more closely in the future as I see a big
potential in creating completely new and unique artwork in DAP without using
photos as the source. |
